In April 2015, the Fundación Fernández-Vega returned to Ayacucho, again with voluntary workers Henar Morchón (optometrist) and Dr Tomás Parra. They provided medical consultations at the regional hospital of Huamanga, where they attended several children from the local orphanage and patients from Huanaca Santos. Furthermore, the team performed cataract and pterygium surgeries, and classified patients to prescribe glasses and eye drops once in Spain.
