The Eye Institute, Instituto Oftalmológico Fernández-Vega, and the Asturian road passenger transport company ALSA sing a cooperation agreement by which the services of both entities will be promoted. Specifically, beneficial conditions are offered to patients and staff of the Institute who use regular bus public transport; there are also beneficial conditions in eye care for the staff of the transport company.
The Medical Director of the Institute, Mr Luis Fernández-Vega Sanz, and the president of ALSA in Asturias, Mr Jacobo Cosmen, signed the agreement on the 24th of October. “We believe this symbiosis between two important, albeit different service groups is good for everyone: for GRUPO ALSA, for the Instituto Fernández-Vega and, of course, for the region. We intend to drive more people to come, to use Asturian services and for everything to benefit the Asturian society as a whole”, explained Mr Luis Fernández-Vega, who, nevertheless, said that it was the “beginning of a program that we’ll keep trying to improve”.
According to this agreement, the patients of the Institute who travel to the clinic from outside the Princedom will benefit from 10% off in the price of their tickets, as well as in those for their companions. To access these advantages, they just need to get their tickets through ALSA’s web page, www.alsa.es and introduce the promotional code that will be provided at the Institute. “Once they contact the clinic, a very easy mechanism starts between both organisations to facilitate information to the patients, as well as these advantageous terms”, said Mr Jacobo Cosmen, who summarised the ultimate purpose of this agreement as the “search for a greater customer satisfaction with both services”.
These advantages will also apply to all patients who travel to the clinic in Madrid from outside the community.
