DRS JOSÉ F. ALFONSO SÁNCHEZ AND CARLOS LISA PARTICIPATE IN THE II INTERNATIONAL CONGRESS OF KERATOCONUS

Drs José F. Alfonso Sánchez and Carlos Lisa from the Instituto Oftlamológico Fernández-Vega (IOFV) have participated in the II International Congress of Keratoconus that took part in Vigo on June 21 and 22, 2012.

Specifically, this symposium entitled “Keratoconus and high-technology lenses” had the following interventions by Dr José F. Alfonso Sánchez, coordinator of clinical research, head of the Cornea, Crystalline and Refractive Surgery Unit at the Institute and president of the SECOIR (Spanish Society of Ocular Implants and Refractive Surgery): “ My experience in lenses for patients with keratoconus“, “ New advanced topography software to analyse the keratoconus“, “Surgical classification of the keratoconus for intracorneal segments“, “Refractive management of DK/DALK by KC” and “Therapeutic treatments with Intralase Laser“. On top of this, this physician has worked as coordinator of ” Cataract and refractive surgery in CK”.

For his part, Dr Carlos Lisa, ophthalmologist at the Cornea, Crystalline and Refractive Surgery Unit at the IOFV, presented “Intracorneal segments: designs and modes of action“.
