THE INSTITUTE PARTICIPATES IN THE CURSOS DE LA GRANDA 2013

Within the programme of Cursos de la Granda 2013, Mr Gonzalo Macías, Manager of the Institute, gave a lecture titled “The Instituto Oftalmológico Fernández-Vega, over 125 years of innovation and entrepreneurship”last Friday, August 2. This conference took place in the session devoted to “Entrepreneuriship as a driver for growth and employment”. Ms María Benjumea (President of Infoempleo), Mr Claudio Boada (President of Abantia Ticsa) and Mr Jacobo Cosmen (President of the Alsa group) also participated in this conference.

Some of the figures of the Institute were addressed during this conference as a generator of jobs and income; the data of the study that has been recently carried out on the socioeconomic impact of the Institute on the Asturian community were also addressed.

Amongst the attendees to the session we may point out, among other personalities, Ms Engracia Hidalgo Tena, Secretary General, Ministry of Employment, who was in charge of the closing ceremony of the Courses directed by Professor Juan Velarde Fuentes (Professor of Applied Economics).
